BitPay locks your rate when the invoice is created and guarantees it for 15 minutes. Price movement during that window does not change what you owe. If the invoice expires before payment is submitted, we generate a new invoice at the current rate.

Invoices are valid for 15 minutes. After that, payment can no longer be accepted and anything submitted to an expired invoice is declined, with a refund notification emailed automatically from BitPay. Nothing is lost. We create a fresh invoice and you try again.
